At the University of Washington, the Department of Technical Communication is housed in the College of Engineering. This positioning gives our TC students the opportunity to closely collaborate with students in other engineering disciplines and take advantage of the research and design opportunities and facilities available to all engineers at the University of Washington. The UW College of Engineering is a highly respected college at the UW specializing in research and student-centered learning. TC fits well into the COE by contributing the award-winning Engineering Communication Program as well as collaborating with many COE departments on research projects and grants.
