Diversity Mission Statement: The Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington is committed to fostering a supportive environment for diverse students, faculty and staff. We recognize that it is essential to identify and educate diverse students in order to achieve our goal of remaining an elite, nationally recognized leader in the field of Technical Communication. At the heart of Technical Communication research, theory, and practice lies a shared understanding of the importance of people as users and consumers of information and technology.
